Celem rozważań jest zwrócenie uwagi branży turystycznej na niezwykle ważną rolę muzeów rolniczych i skansenów w popularyzacji turystyki i rekreacji na obszarach wiejskich. Przedstawiona w artykule działalność kilku wybranych najpopularniejszych obiektów muzealnictwa rolniczego, skansenów i parków etnograficznych położonych w różnych regionach Polski, wskazuje na ich ogromną wartość kulturową i niezaprzeczalną rolę w popularyzowaniu regionów i pozyskiwaniu coraz większej liczby zwiedzających. Przyczynia się to do rozwijania turystyki i rekreacji na obszarach rolniczych. Docenianie faktu niezwykle korzystnej roli turystyki dla rozwoju obszarów wiejskich sprawia, że w coraz większym stopniu rozszerzana jest działalność muzeów rolniczych i skansenów, jak również zwiększa się asortyment atrakcji i usług turystycznych w tych placówkach. Rola muzeów rolniczych i skansenów jest coraz bardziej doceniana przez władze samorządowe, a projekty ich rozbudowy są wspierane finansowo przez samorządy i środki UE. Przedstawiony materiał w artykule dotyczący działalności muzealnictwa rolniczego wskazuje na branżę turystyczną jako beneficjenta działalności.

An aim of the review article is to highlight the tourist industry in the extremely important role of agricultural museums and heritage parks in popularising tourism and recreation in rural areas. The presented in the article most popular activities of a few selected agricultural museum objects, ethnographic open-air museums and heritage parks located in different regions of Poland indicates their great cultural value and an undeniable role in popularising regions and attracting more and more visitors. This contributes to the development of tourism and recreation in rural areas. Appreciating the fact of the unusually beneficial role of tourism for the development of rural areas causes that there is increasingly widened activity of open-air ethnographic museums as well as there is increased the range of attractions and tourist services in these institutions. The role of agricultural museums and heritage parks is increasingly appreciated by local authorities and their expansion projects are financially supported by local governments and EU funds. The material presented in the article on the activities of agricultural museums shows tourism as a beneficiary of their activities.
