Celem opracowania jest przedstawienie obrazu zaangażowania w pozaformalną i nieformalną (incydentalną) ofertę oddziałującą środowiskowo i wyrażającą się w postaci aktywności społeczno-kulturalnej seniorów z polskich wsi. Punktem odniesienia dla podjętych analiz są tezy krytycznej gerontologii edukacyjnej (CEG). Badane osoby dobrze czuły się w grupie rówieśniczej i w oparciu o nią oraz własne (osobiste i wewnętrzne) zasoby konfigurowały prywatne przestrzenie aktywności, nadając uczeniu się nowe konteksty. Aranżując nieformalne uczenie się – pozostawały aktywne poznawczo, najczęściej nieświadomie. Nie czuły się pełnoprawnym członkami swoich społeczności lokalnych.

The aim of the study is to present the issue of involvement in a non-formal and informal (incidental) educational offer of seniors from Polish villages. The thesis of critical educational gerontology (CEG) are the point of reference for the undertaken analyzes. The respondents, based on the peer group and their own (personal and internal) resources, set up their individual spaces of activity, giving new contexts to learning. By arranging informal learning they remained, usually unwittingly, cognitively active. They did not feel full members of local communities.
