Currently, there has been a big change in the form of spending free time because a large part of the average person's life is occupied by the Internet. Every day we browse pages, watch programs, movies and series. Activities involving children have also changed. Today, full playgrounds or libraries are a rare picture. The youngest generations absorb visual content much more often - various types of animated cartoons, which they often watch several hours a day. Sometimes cartoons are also used by parents as a form of bribery or as a kind of seizing the child's attention for some time. The purpose of this article is to find the answer to the question of how the form of content (text, movie), inspiring the creation of artistic products, affects the creative imagination of a child. At the beginning we present the scientific position in this matter, and then the results of our own research. As a tool in the research, the Kate Franck Drawing Completion Test was used, which measures the imagination of the examined person, and then the method of product analysis was used, , referring to the category of creative imagination. Two groups of children from the second grade of primary school took part in the study and were asked to create drawings after learning the presented content. For one group a fairy tale was presented in the text form, but for the second group: in the form of the animated cartoon. Students from the group listening to the story read from the book, on the created drawings added a lot of original ideas, variously presented the reality of the fairy tale heard, in contrast to the second group, in which the drawings of all students were very similar to each other. The results of the study indicate that cartoons in a form of the movie much less stimulate children to use their creative imagination, than fairy tales in a text form, which allows them to activate their creative potential.

An animated movie does not require any motivation for watching it. That is why it is very useful as the learning source at elementary school class work. The aim of this work is promotion of the heuristic-branched learning model on the example of the animated movie with direct manipulation of the animated content. The represented example of this „little scientific” animated e-task should instigate functional thinking and the model can be applied at each and every school subject.

Furthermore, the targeted group – children of preschool institutions engaged in monitoring and resolving application, the platform requires and develops their functional-logical potential. The project includes an interactive quiz with 12-manipulation tasks, like upgrading animated themes (and on the other hand, generates a report on the performance and their abilities (average scores of the individual, the group and the percentage of correct answers on questions) which will help teachers to better recognize the level of knowledge on this area and problematic places of learning) as well as the methodological manual. Fakt ten stwarza doskonałą okazję do wykorzystania poszczególnych animowanych dzieł filmowych w ramach działań wychowawczych i terapeutycznych.

Contemporary heroes of animated films are significantly different from their predecessors in terms of their characteristics and in relation to the manifested attitudes. New types of protagonists, being an important component of a film story, affect the recipient not only in terms of emotions. The created heroes, complex in terms of character, have a huge potential for cognitive influ-ence. Thanks to the nature of the addressed problems that are close to viewers, it is possible for them to identify themselves with the watched heroes, assimilate with their situation or induce other mechanisms of influence. The characters of contemporary animated films are no longer simple subject entities determined by the main attribute or an allegorical reference. An important aspect is the departure from the presentation of a relatively constant personality in favour of the changes in behaviour and professed values. This fact creates an excellent opportunity to use animated motion picture works as part of educational and therapeutic activities.
