The scientific goal of the research task was to analyze the dialogical architecture in the context of its social function and the impact on formal and functional solutions on the example of the Collegium Nobilium building in Warsaw. It was assumed that historical buildings over the years of their functioning are subject to numerous modifications caused, among others, by changing social needs, but formal and functional changes do not always occur in parallel, and their weight varies. The research methods necessary to define and investigate the scientific problem were applied: the method of historical analysis, the method of observation without intervention, the intuitive method based on the author’s personal experience. The object of the research was the building of Collegium Nobilium, whose historical description is an original interpretation of research materials and literature. Context / urban dialogue has only been signaled to the extent necessary to present the problem of research. The results allowed to draw conclusions regarding the role of architecture in the context of social-situational dialogue.

Celem naukowym zadania badawczego jest analiza architektury dialogicznej w kontekście jej funkcji społecznej oraz wpływu na rozwiązania formalne i funkcjonalne przeprowadzona na przykładzie budynku Collegium Nobilium w Warszawie. Założono tezę, że budynki historyczne na przestrzeni lat swojego funkcjonowania ulegają licznym modyfikacjom powodowanym m.in. zmiennymi potrzebami społecznymi, niemniej zmiany formalne i funkcjonalne nie zawsze następują równolegle, a ich waga jest różna. Zastosowano metody badań niezbędne do zdefiniowania i zbadania problemu naukowego: metodę analizy historycznej, metodę obserwacji bez interwencji oraz metodę intuicyjną opartą na osobistych doświadczeniach autorki. Przedmiotem badań był budynek Collegium Nobilium, którego opis historyczny jest autorską interpretacją materiałów badawczych oraz piśmiennictwa. Kontekst/dialog urbanistyczny został jedynie zasygnalizowany w zakresie niezbędnym do przedstawienia problemu badań. Wyniki pozwoliły na wyciągnięcie wniosków dotyczących roli architektury w kontekście dialogu społeczno-sytuacyjnego.
