The following article is devoted to an issue of aggressive and auto-aggressive behaviors, which are faced by the therapists of children with developmental dysfunctions. Therapists often face a problem of aggression, both physical, verbal, direct and indirect. Among developmental dysfunctions, mentioned in the article, there are Autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, mild mental disability, Down’s Syndrome and ADHD. The aim of the test is to share experiences connected with aggressive and autoaggressive behaviors presented by children with developmental issues and to present exemplary interventions, which were effective in given situations. Described examples of difficult behaviors of children, as well as ways of dealing with them all come from the author’s personal experiences.

Artykuł poświęcono problematyce zachowań agresywnych i autoagresywnych, z którymi zmagają się terapeuci dzieci z dysfunkcjami rozwojowymi. Terapeuci często zmagają się z problemem agresji zarówno fizycznej, werbalnej, bezpośredniej, jak i pośredniej. Wśród dysfunkcji rozwojowych, o których jest mowa w artykule, można wymienić autyzm, zespół Aspergera, upośledzenie umysłowe w stopniu lekkim, zespołem Downa i ADHD. Celem pracy jest dzielenie się doświadczeniem związanym z zachowaniami agresywnymi i autoagresywnymi przejawianymi przez dzieci z trudnościami rozwojowymi oraz podanie przykładowych interwencji, które były skuteczne w pokonaniu przedstawionych trudności. Podane przykłady trudnych zachowań dzieci, jak również sposoby radzenia sobie z nimi pochodzą z doświadczeń autora artykułu.
