Artykuł jest próbą sklasyfikowania żartów na przykładzie języka niemieckiego. Szczególnie istotne i interesujące jest przy tym również pytanie o kwestie decydujące o humorystycznym charakterze tekstu i wskazanie na jego strukturę i cechy. Rozważania na ten temat poparte są przykładami żartów, pochodzących z niemieckich stron internetowych. Analiza znalezionych tam tekstów wykazała, że można wyodrębnić trzy grupy żartów (o kobietach i mężczyznach, o blondynkach oraz o poszczególnych zawodach), cieszących się największą popularnością i ocenianych przez internautów jako „bardzo dobre” i „dobre”. Z analizy wynika ponadto, że najczęściej stosowanym językowym środkiem budowania humoru jest polisemia. Analiza skryptów wykazała zaś, że w większości przypadków, przede wszystkim w grupie żartów o kobietach oraz w osobnej grupie żartów o blondynkach, temat i cel żartu są tożsame, natomiast w przypadku żartów na temat konkretnych grup zawodowych temat i cel uzależnione są od prezentowanego zawodu, zwłaszcza od podkreślanych cech jego przedstawicieli.

This article attempts to describe the classification of jokes on the example of the German language. The question of what determines text to be understood as a humorous and what structure and characteristics it must have in order to be classified as a joke is also important and particularly interesting. These considerations have been covered with the joke examples that come from the German websites. The analysis of the jokes offered on the German website has proved that three joke groups (the women jokes, the blonde jokes and the occupations jokes), that enjoy the greatest popularity with the recipients and that they have “good” and “very good” reviews, can be distinguished. The analysis of the texts shows that polysemy was most often used for the humorous purposes. While analyzing the script , it was noted that in most cases, especially in the group of women and man and the blonde jokes, the subject and the target can be equated with variations on the theme and the target in occupations jokes, depending on which profession they are addressed to, and which qualities of the figures should be emphasized.
