W bajkach lubelskich, których bogaty zbiór znajduje się w Archiwum Etnolingwistycznym UMCS, motywy solarne pojawiają się bądź to jako samodzielne przekazy, co jest stosunkowo rzadkie, bądź też w strukturze wątków wielotematycznych. Przeważnie przy tym myśli się o słońcu jak o blasku czy pogodzie słonecznej, a nie o ciele niebieskim. Autor prezentuje trzy przykłady takich bajek: (1) Słońce, wiatr, mróz; (2) O dwóch braciach i sprawiedliwym słońcu; (3) Wnoszenie słońca do domu.

In tales from Lublin, a large collection of which can be found in the Ethnolinguistic archive at MCSU in Lublin, solar motives are present either as independent stories – which is relatively rare – or can be found in the structure of multi-themed plots. As such, the sun is present in the sense of glare or sunny whether, and not in the sense of a celestial object. The author presents three examples of such tales: (1) Słońce, wiatr, mróz [the Sun, the Wind, and the Frost]; (2) O dwóch braciach i sprawiedliwym słońcu [About Two Brothers and the Righteous Sun]; (3) Wnoszenie słońca do domu [Bringing the Sun into the House].
