Na przestrzeni ostatnich lat można zauważyć intensywny rozwój turystyki piwnej, będącej coraz popularniejszą formą turystyki kulinarnej. Wiąże się to nie tylko z coraz większą i bardziej świadomą konsumpcją piwa, lecz także z rozwojem wiedzy na temat piwowarstwa rzemieślniczego i coraz większej liczby i różnorodności imprez o charakterze piwnym. Na tego typu wydarzeniach, wcielając się w jednego z uczestników, można poznać i scharakteryzować turystę piwnego. Celem artykułu jest opisanie motywów i preferencji biroturystów uczestniczących w wybranych wydarzeniach w 2014 i 2015 r. oraz uwarunkowań rozwoju turystyki piwnej w Polsce o charakterze przeglądowym. Jak pokazują wyniki obserwacji, birofile swoje zainteresowania rozwijają na co dzień, a w podróżach turystycznych odwiedzają miejsca związane z wytwarzaniem trunku i uczestniczą w festiwalach piwnych.

An intensive development of a beer tourism, which is an increasingly popular form of culinary tourism, has been observed in recent years. This involves not only an increasing and more conscious consumption of beer, but also the development of knowledge about the brewing craft as well an increasing number and variety of events associated with beers and breweries. The aim of the article is to describe the conditions of beer tourism development and characterize the motives and preferences of beer tourism participants in selected beer tourism. The observations revealed that beer tourism participants develop their interests in brewing craft at the daily basis, often more intensively during trips organized to popular beer craft places directly linked with the active beer production or to seasonal beer festivals.
