En este artículo pretendemos mostrar el papel de las élites militares en la historia de Venezuela como un factor principal de la revolución, los problemas y logros sociales de los gobiernos de Chávez y el papel dominante de Cuba en lo ideológico, político y social. No nos referiremos a los Estados Unidos y su influencia en los procesos políticos en la región (al normalizar sus relaciones con Cuba, los Estados Unidos están desmantelando la revolución bolivariana, la posición de Venezuela en América Latina y en el mundo).

In this paper we pretend to focus the role of military elites in the history of Venezuela as the main factor of the revolution, economic and social outcomes of the Chavez government and the dominant role of Cuba in the ideological, political and social fields. We do not refer to the United States and its influence on the political processes in the region (normalizing diplomatic relations with Cuba, the US is politically and economically dismantling the Venezuelan revolution, the position of Venezuela in Latin America and in the world).
