The main aim of this article is to present a method of analysis of texts from the field of languages for special purposes, worked out by a Burkhard Schaeder, and to use this method to analyze one chosen text from the field of economics: an offer. The conclusions from this analysis are thought to be used in teaching the German language of economics to the budding translators and interpreters. Budding translators and interpreters are a very specific target group in teaching specialized languages, because they have a very high competence in the sphere of general language, but not in the sphere of specialized languages and specific areas. That is why teaching the language for this target group means teaching a specialized language and at the same time teaching a certain part of specialist knowledge, because language and the specialized area cannot be separated from each other. When determining which didactic materials to choose, one should consider such materials which would allow the budding translators or interpreters to acquire the basics of specialist knowledge. In the case of this conception at stake are texts used in an economic enterprise and the analysis of their communication contexts, forms, grammar and vocabulary, according to the chosen method of analysis.
