Competitive environment of today’s organizations, more than ever, is extensive, and the major concern for managers is to preserve and promote the sustainable competitive advantage. Companies have an obligation to improve their product quality and have extensive and close cooperation with other companies involved in the supply chain of products. Supply chain quality management (SCQM) is a systematic approach to improve the performance that integrates supply chain partners and uses the opportunity in the best way, establish linkages between upstream and downstream flows, and investigate on creating value and satisfaction of intermediaries and final customers. Furthermore, achieving competitive advantages enables an organization to create a remarkable position in market and differentiate itself from competitors. This paper aims to understand the relationships between SCQM and competitive advantage. Sixty-eight experts of 25 companies in Sahami Alyaf (SA) supply chain has been participated in this research. The research method used for this article is descriptive correlation. To assess the relationships between the criteria, canonical correlation analysis was used. The result shows that the SCQM and competitive advantages have a meaningful relationship. It also shows that most important variable in the linear combination of SCQM and competitive advantages are “customer focus and quality,” respectively.

Celem artykułu jest wskazanie na hierarchię czynników determinujących konsumpcję w gospodarstwach domowych osób w wieku 70 lat i więcej. Materiał badawczy stanowiły dane z Badania budżetów gospodarstw domowych GUS za 2012 r. W prezentowanym badaniu zastosowano metodę analizy korelacji kanonicznej. Najważniejszymi determinantami wydatków w gospodarstwach domowych osób w wieku 70 lat i więcej okazały się dochody rozporządzalne przypadające na osobę oraz wielkość gospodarstwa domowego. Większe wydatki na napoje alkoholowe i wyroby tytoniowe charakteryzowały gospodarstwa domowe, w których głową gospodarstwa był mężczyzna. W gospodarstwach domowych zlokalizowanych na wsiach oraz prowadzonych przez osoby z wykształceniem podstawowym notowano mniejsze wydatki na usługi, takie jak łączność oraz rekreację i kulturę.

The purpose of this article is to indicate the hierarchy of factors determining consumption in households of people aged 70 and more. Material consisted of data from a study of household budgets survey for 2012. The present study used the method of canonical correlation analysis. The most important determinants of expenditure in households of people aged 70 and more have proven to be disposable income per capita and the size of the household. More spending on alcoholic beverages and tobacco products were characterized by households in which the head of the household was a man. In households located in rural areas and run by people with primary education reported less spending on services such as communications, recreation and culture.

Целью статьи является указание на иерархию факторов детерминирующих потребление в домашних хозяйствах лиц в возрасте от 70 лет и более. Материал для обследования составляли данные ЦСУ из Обследования бюджетов домашних хозяйств за 2012 г. В представленном обследовании был использован метод анализа канонической корреляции. Самыми важными детерминантами расходов в домашних хозяйствах лиц в возрасте от 70 лет и более оказался чистый доход на душу и размер домашнего хозяйства. Более высокие расходы на алкогольные напитки и табачные изделия характеризовали домашние хозяйства, в которых главой был мужчина. В деревенских домашних хозяйствах и там, где главой были лица с начальным образованием наблюдались более низкие расходы на услуги, среди них связь, отдых и культура.
