Regionalna pomoc przyznawana przedsiębiorstwom na Dolnym Śląsku podporządkowana jest zasadom pomocy UE i celom integracyjnym. Reforma polityki kontroli pomocy doprowadziła do zwiększenia liczby zezwoleń na udzielanie pomocy horyzontalnej, w tym pomocy regionalnej. Na Dolnym Śląsku pomoc regionalna udzielana jest na nowe inwestycje połączone z tworzeniem nowych miejsc pracy, badaniami i rozwojem oraz na tworzenie nowoczesnych usług biznesowych. Wrocław stał się ważnym miejscem lokalizacji sektora usług biznesowych w kraju i znaczącym ośrodkiem działania centrów naukowo-badawczych.

Regional aid in Lower Silesia granted to undertakings submits to rules of state aide EU and integration aims. The reform of state aid rules resulted in increased number of permissions to grant the horizontal aid, especially regional aid. In Lower Silesia regional aid were granted for new investments, employment, research and development, ad hoc aid and aid for creation of the business service sector. Wrocław has become an important location for business service sector. This town is only one metropolitan area with the largest number of research and development centers.
