Opracowanie obejmuje analizę dziesięciu miejscowych planów zagospodarowania przestrzennego w Krakowie, o łącznej powierzchni 40,02 km2 (co stanowi 12,2% ogólnej powierzchni miasta). Głównym celem artykułu było poznanie trendu zmian przeznaczenia terenów biologicznie czynnych na inne cele wraz z określeniem ich nowej funkcji przewidzianej w planach miejscowych. Grunty rolne są bowiem jednym z najbardziej intensywnie przekształcanych użytków gruntowych w polskich miastach, które tworzą jednocześnie powiązania ekologiczne w relacji miasto-wieś. W artykule zaakcentowano ekosystemową rolę obszarów rolnych w strukturze przyrodniczej miasta i konieczność racjonalnej gospodarki gruntami, ewidencjonowanymi jako rolne, zwłaszcza w obrębie korytarzy ekologicznych oraz stref wymiany i regeneracji powietrza atmosferycznego.

The publication includes an analysis of ten local spatial management plans for the city of Kraków. These ten plans cover an area of 40.02 km2, which constitutes 12.2% of the total area of the city. The main purpose of the publication is to show change patterns in land use in the city of Kraków and the accompanying transition from agricultural use to other planned types of land use. Agricultural land present within city limits in Poland is undergoing substantial transformation, which is also affecting the ecological urban – rural relationship. The publication emphasizes the ecological role of agricultural areas present within city limits as well as the need to manage existing agricultural land in a sustainable manner, especially in areas designated as ecological corridors and urban air exchange zones.
