A lesson is not the only form of teaching or children’s learning. This process has been completed by commonly given homework since the Middle Ages. Homework has a lot of educational values. It helps to master some new material, strengthen the previous material and to develop independence in practice. In addition, doing homework supports regularity, character, initiative and a proper attitude towards schoolwork. A wide understanding of the concept of homework is not only doing it, but it is also children’s participation in spontaneous decisions to take part in after school activities and classes. The analysis of the research indicates the necessity of integral attitude towards the aspect of homework in the process of teaching and learning.
