The scientific study presents the proposal of extension of curriculum focused on security education for primary schools to children protection. Modern and sophisticated methods violation of safety rules, safety education moved even more to the forefront of the public interest. It requires continual analysis of ensuring the safety of children in the primary schools too and looking for new possibilities for protection against threats of various kinds and manner. The aim of security education determines competencies of security activity and behaviour in normal and emergency situations of school leavers. Proposal is based on these defined competencies. The proposal also includes an analysis of current problems, which are the consequences of constantly changing social needs, as well as the rapid development of science and technology, especially modern mass-communication.
