The article indicates that education plays a prominent role in the contemporary world. It is percieved as a fundamental force of civilizational changes. The interdisciplinary education oriented into innovation is seen as a inevitable challenge in cultural changes. The need of individualisation of the organizational model of education, alternativeness, building horizontal structures is being emphasized. The individualization of teaching is being implemented mostly through the decentralization of educational systems.
