W artykule omówiono wybrane zagadnienia ujmowania kwestii poprawnościowych w Wielkim słowniku języka polskiego PAN. Wkrótce będzie to największy elektroniczny słownik ogólny, zawierający rozbudowaną siatkę informacji o jednostkach języka. Z tego względu dla wielu użytkowników polszczyzny stanie się on ważnym narzędziem w ocenie normatywnej zjawisk językowych. Jak wynika z analizy części haseł, opublikowanych dotychczas w sieci, autorzy pośrednio lub wprost podają w nich wskazówki poprawnościowe dotyczące posługiwania się opisanymi jednostkami, przestrzegają także przed formami uznanymi za błędne. Niejednokrotnie jednak opisy nie są konsekwentne, kompletne, niekiedy brakuje informacji podawanych w bardzo podobnych grupach leksemów, nie zawsze są przestrzegane założenia metodologiczne, przedstawione we Wstępie. W artykule wykazano, że ze względu na rangę społeczną słownika warto dokonać ponownej analizy opracowanego materiału tak, aby stał się on kompletnym ródłem dla jego użytkowników.

The article discusses selected issues of presenting the problems of correctness in Wielki słownik języka polskiego PAN (The PAN Great Dictionary of Polish Language). It will soon be the largest electronic, general dictionary containing a complex system of information about units of language. This is the reason why it will become an important tool of normative assessment of linguistic phenomena for Polish language users. As it results from the analysis of a part of entries which were published on the Internet so far, the authors, directly or indirectly, give correctness hints related to the use of the units described and caution against the forms which are perceived as incorrect. In some cases the descriptions are not consistent or complete, they sometimes lack information provided in groups of lexemes which are very similar while the methodological assumptions presented in the Introduction are not always followed. The article shows that owing to the social importance of the dictionary it is worth analysing the material once again so that it becomes a complete source for its users.
