Abstract: Creative industries are today one of the most promising sectors of the economy. They also influence the development of modern cities. Local authorities increasingly recognize the role of creative industries, as well as the role of representatives of the creative class, who, thanks to their presence in the city and their work, contribute to the development and improvement of the quality of city life. In Poland, creative industries are also becoming increasingly important, as can be seen by the development strategies being introduced in modern cities, and by the way the presence of creative industries is stimulating an environment that is conducive to creativity on a broader basis in the local culture.

Przemysły kreatywne to dzisiaj jedna z najbardziej rozwojowych dziedzin gospodarki. Mają również wpływ na rozwój współczesnych miast. Władze lokalne coraz częściej dostrzegają ich rolę, jak również rolę przedstawicieli klasy kreatywnej, którzy dzięki swojej obecności w mieście i swojej pracy przyczyniają się do rozwoju i podniesienia jakości życia. W Polsce przemysły kreatywne również mają coraz większe znaczenie, czego dowodem są wprowadzane strategie i tworzenie miejsc sprzyjających kreatywności.
