The text presents basic historical data about oflags, and also sociological concepts useful for their analysis. Oflag, is a short form for Offizierslager für kriegsgefangene Offiziere, a German prisoner of war camp for officers which existed during the 2nd World War. Within twenty military regions of Germany, there were almost 800 different camps, where 10 million prisoners of war from Europe and United States of America were incarcerated (among them there were half a million of Polish officers and soldiers). Oflags are subject of many historical, sociological and psychological studies. Concepts of totalitarian institutions by E. Goffman, culture and its collerates by S. Ossowski, cultural systems by A. Kłoskowska and B. Sułkowski, social frames of remembrance by M. Halbswach, are all helpful in oflags description and analysis. The framework of this study is an analysis of social remembrance – individual and collective, and its carriers – cultural correlates, such as necropolises, sites of former prisoner of war camps, utility objects, artistic objects (graphics, sculptures, literary texts, songs), documents (photographs, letters). They operate in private and public circuits, where memory sphere abrades with non remembrance sphere – oblivion and exclusion.

Style partycypacji kulturalnej człowieka dorosłego. Walidacja narzędzia pomiarowego

The article presents a measurement tool validation process diagnosing an adult person’s cultural participation styles. Its objective is to describe the obtained results at individual stages of the validation and determine the connection between cultural participation styles and cultural systems presented by sociologists of culture. Consequently, cultural participation style of an adult person is the subject of the research. The pilot studies as well as the actual research have been conducted in Opolskie province. The research sample amounted to 100 respondents, then 400 respondents, respectively.The theoretical construct of Kazimierz Obuchowski describing the objective and subjective standard of functioning of an individual and a cultural system according to Antonina Kłoskowska served as the theoretical and methodological basis for the research.An analysis of the research results has been conducted as part of the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences program (SPSS). It included a factor analysis and determined the reliability as well as external and internal accuracy of the cultural participation styles scale. The reliability coefiicient – the Cronbach’s Alpha – approached high values. It came out at 0,95 for the subjective style of participation, and at 0,88 for the objective style. The internal validity of the scale has been confirmed by the Pearson correlation coefficient. It came out at r= - 0,79. The values reflecting the correlation between the analyzed styles and the subjective dimension of the quality of live, have proved satisfactory as well, and confirmed the internal validity of the instrument. They came out at r= 0,45 for the subjective style of participation, and at r= -0,38 for the objective style.The scale suggestion includes 54 statements grouped in two main dimensions: the subjective and objective cultural participation styles.

Artykuł przedstawia proces walidacji narzędzia pomiarowego, diagnozującego style partycypacji kulturalnej człowieka dorosłego. Jego celem jest opis uzyskanych wyników w poszczególnych etapach walidacji oraz określenie związku pomiędzy stylami partycypacji kulturalnej a układami kultury prezentowanymi przez socjologów kultury. W związku z czym przedmiotem badań jest styl partycypacji kulturalnej człowieka dorosłego. Badania pilotażowe, jak i właściwe zostały przeprowadzone w województwie opolskim, próba badawcza kolejno liczyła 100, a następnie 400 respondentów.Za podstawę teoretyczno-metodologiczną rozważań przyjęto konstrukt teoretyczny Kazimierza Obuchowskiego, opisujący podmiotowy oraz przedmiotowy standard funkcjonowania jednostki, oraz układy kultury według Antoniny Kłoskowskiej.Analiza wyników badań została przeprowadzona w programie Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) i obejmowała analizę czynnikową oraz określiła rzetelność jak również trafność wewnętrzną oraz zewnętrzną skali stylów partycypacji kulturalnej. Statystka rzetelności Alfa Cronbacha uzyskała wysokie wartości i wyniosła dla stylu partycypacji podmiotowego 0,95, a dla stylu partycypacji przedmiotowego 0,88. Trafność wewnętrzną opisywanej skali potwierdził współczynnik korelacji r-Pearsona wynoszący r= - 0,79. Zadowalające okazały się także wartości potwierdzające trafność wewnętrzną narzędzia poddanego procesowi walidacji, będące efektem korelacji analizowanych stylów z podmiotowym wymiarem jakości życia respondentów, które wyniosły kolejno dla stylu partycypacji podmiotowego r= 0,45, a dla stylu partycypacji przedmiotowego r= -0,38.Propozycja skali składa się 54 twierdzeń zgrupowanych w dwa główne wymiary, którymi okazały się: podmiotowy oraz przedmiotowy styl partycypacji kulturalnej.

Lokalny potencjał edukacyjny na przykładzie działalności Forum Synagoga w Ostrowie Wielkopolskim

Głównym celem artykułu jest przyjrzenie się instytucji kultury jaką jest Forum Synagoga w Ostrowie Wielkopolskim, z perspektywy jej możliwości edukacyjnych i animacyjnychrealizowanych w sferze publicznej. Odwołując się do koncepcji układu kultury Antoniny Kłoskowskiej, przedstawiam program działalności kulturalnej, opisując wydarzenia organizowanew budynku ostrowskiej synagogi. Obserwacja i analiza prowadzonych tam działań pozwolą stwierdzić, czy Forum Synagoga ma potencjał kulturo- i społeczno-twórczy, byprojektować i realizować zajęcia edukacyjne oraz animować społeczność lokalną, także w odniesieniu do zagadnień wielokulturowości.

Summary: The main purpose of this article is to take a look at the cultural institution that is the Synagogue Forum in Ostrów Wielkopolski from the perspective of its educational and animative capabilities in the public sphere. Referring to Antonina Kłoskowska’s concept of the system of culture, I present a program of cultural activities, describing eventsorganized in the Ostrów synagogue. Observation and analysis of individual events will allow me to determine whether the Synagogue Forum has the cultural and social potentialto design and implement educational activities and animate the local community, also with regard to the issues of multiculturalism.
