Including innovation in a library can be associated most with the use of new technologies to realize services through among others accessing digitalization devices, using new generation information search systems, using mobile applications, e-books etc. In this article the authors presented an innovative approach in realizing one of the important functions of the library - scientific-cultural activity. To be more precise, to plan events and initiatives based on the socalled Business Model Canvas, also known as business model groundwork. The adaptation of the template to the library goals was described on an example of a cyclic event, realized by the Main Library of the Pedagogical University in Cracow, entitled Night in a library. The process of planning a cycle of meetings, which took place on the 26 October 2016 under a common title "Night in a library: Georgian culture".

Appraising the activity of the Union of Polish Patriots on the basis of radio broadcasts in Polish, one can come to two conclusions. First, the Union of Polish Patriots was an organization dealing with Poles and Jews staying on the territory of the Soviet Union. After the severance of diplomatic relations with the Soviet Union the aforementioned organization undermined the legitimacy of the Polish government in London. It was also responsible for passing an ideological declaration, which consisted of theses relating to the post-war borders of Poland. It should be noted however, that all postulates the declaration included (inter alia the subject matter of the post-war Polish-Soviet demarcation) were in fact solutions proposed by the USSR’s authorities. The board of the Union of Polish Patriots organized in war conditions both cultural and educational life for hundreds of thousands of Polish citizens. They were provided with material being to the greatest extent possible and thanks to it countless compatriots lived through that traumatic period. Broadcasts of the Tadeusz Kosciuszko Polishlanguage radio station never misrepresented actions of the Union of Polish Patriots. It arose from the fact that the radio station was functioning and acting as propaganda of its authorities, that is the USSR.

The problems of activation and education of Evangelical youth in the interwar period has been paid much attention, because they constituted the future of the church, society and the reborn nation. The aim of the article is an attempt to detail, from the pedagogical perspective, the main areas of activity of the association – “The Union of Polish Evangelical Youth of the Silesian Voivodeship”. Thus, the conditions of the creation and development of the Association were characterized, taking into account thescope of its patriotic-religious, cultural-educational and social influence, preparing young people to perform important religious, social-educational and national duties in their environment. The assumptions of the Evangelical model of upbringing, as well as recreational, sports and charity activities of the association, supporting the social integration of young Evangelicals, were also discussed.

Problematyce aktywizacji i wychowania młodzieży ewangelickiej w okresie międzywojennym poświęcano wiele uwagi, ponieważ stanowiła ona o przyszłości Kościoła, społeczeństwa i odrodzonego narodu. Celem artykułu jest próba uszczegółowienia – z perspektywy pedagogicznej – głównych obszarów działalności stowarzyszenia „Związku Polskiej Młodzieży Ewangelickiej Województwa Śląskiego”. Scharakteryzowano uwarunkowania powstania i rozwoju związku, uwzględniając zakres jego oddziaływania patriotyczno-religijnego, kulturalno-oświatowego i społecznego, przygotowującego młodzież do pełnienia ważnych obowiązków religijnych, społeczno-oświatowych i narodowych w swym otoczeniu. Omówiono również założenia ewangelickiego modelu wychowania oraz działalność rekreacyjno-sportową i charytatywną związku, wspierającą integrację społeczną młodych ewangelików.
