I have attempted to reconstruct the image of Germany perceived by Poles (heterostereotypes) and by Germans (autostereotypes). The point of departure for this analysis is a culturological perspective and its goal is to answer the question of how lexicography might contribute to strengthening ethnical stereotypes.

Im Beitrag wird der Versuch unternommen, im Lichte der polnisch- und deutschsprachigen Lexikographie die Frage zu beantworten, wie hoch der Beitrag der lexikographischen Praxis zur Verfestigung und Verbreitung der Stereotype ist. Dies wird am Beispiel der Lemmatisierung der ethnonymischen Bezeichnungen und ethnischen Schimpfwörter gezeigt.

In the article I have attempted to check, how is the influence of monolingual lexicography on ethnical stereotypes. The goal is to answer the question of how lexicography might contribute to strengthening ethnical stereotypes. I show it on examples of Ethnonyms and ethnic abuses.
