The variability of fixed language structures can be recognized both from the perspective of a systemic description of phraseological units and from a pragmatic perspective i.e. their use and functioning in the discourse. It manifests itself through the phenomenon of variance or it is the effect of deliberate violation by the sender of the established formal and semantic structure of the unit. The transformation operations used in phraseological units have a significant cognitive value, because they show the possibility of transforming units with varying degrees of fixation in the text. Even in the case of a literal understanding of the idiom or its structural decomposition, idiomatic meaning remains in the background and it is identified by the recipient thanks to the social stability of the language unit.

Zmienność utrwalonych struktur językowych może być ujmowana zarówno z perspektywy systemowego opisu związków frazeologicznych, jak i z perspektywy pragmatycznej, tj. ich użycia i funkcjonowania w dyskursie. Przejawia się poprzez zjawisko wariantywności lub jest efektem świadomego naruszenia przez nadawcę ustalonej struktury formalnej i semantycznej związku. Stosowane na frazeologizmach operacje mają istotny walor poznawczy, pokazują bowiem możliwość przekształcania w tekstach związków o różnym stopniu utrwalenia. Nawet w wypadku udosłownienia stałego połączenia lub jego dekompozycji strukturalnej znaczenie idiomatyczne pozostaje w tle, identyfikowane przez odbiorcę dzięki społecznemu utrwaleniu jednostki.

Przedmiotem zainteresowania autorki artykułu są różnorodne pod względem gatunkowym utwory Jana Czykwina, takie jak „Na skryżawanni epoch (Da pytannia litaraturaznawczaha instrumientaria wuczonaha)”, „Geometria piatnicy”, „Dwoje”, „Za tym muram”, „Razmova... ...suswetau”, „Pierad snom”. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na fragmenty z nieokreśloną semantyką, ich strukturę i mechanizm funkcjonowania jako środka wyrazu artystycznego.

Special attention has been focused on parts of the texts with unspecified semantics, their structure and the mechanism of artistic device.
