Artykuł został poświęcony jednej z metod zooterapii, jaką jest delfinoterapia na podstawie obserwacji poszczególnych sesji z pacjentami podczas pobytu w delfinarium Oskar w Truskawcu na Ukrainie. Autor charakteryzuje metodę terapii z udziałem delfinów. Ponadto opisuje rolę i cechy delfina, zwraca uwagę na wskazania i przeciwwskazania do terapii z delfinem. Prezentuje wyniki przeprowadzonych dotychczas badań dotyczących delfinoterapii. Omawia etapy delfinoterapii, jej rolę oraz efekty przy wybranych konkretnych schorzeniach pacjentów.

The article is focused on issues related to Dolphin Assisted Therapy. In the initial part we present the historic view and the situation of dolphin ther-apy in Ukraine. In the second part there is an overview of academic studies worldwide related to dolphin therapy and methodological aspect of dolphin therapy as a mean of support for children with developmental delays. In further parts of the arti-cle I present the assumptions of the proprietary method by O. Dąbrowska and the results of observations and pilot research regarding the influence of dolphin therapy on development in communication.

Artykuł jest poświęcony zagadnieniom związanym z delfinoterapią. W pierwszej części został przedstawiony zarys historyczny oraz sytuacja delfinote-rapii na Ukrainie. W drugiej części zaprezentowano przegląd badań naukowych na świecie dotyczących delfinoterapii oraz metodologiczny aspekt w delfinotera-pii jako metody pomocy dzieciom z opóźnieniem w rozwoju. Następnie przed-stawiono założenia autorskiej metody delfinoterapii O. Dąbrowskiej oraz wyniki obserwacji i badań pilotażowych dotyczących wpływu delfinoterapii na rozwój w komunikacji.
