Artykuł podejmuje zagadnienie potrzeby kształcenia umiejętności istotnych dla budowy demokratycznego społeczeństwa. Chodzi o umiejętność krytycznego myślenia, postrzeganie globalnych problemów z punktu widzenia „obywatela świata” i empatyczną wrażliwość. Wymienione umiejętności autor proponuje kształcić w edukacji opartej o wartości humanistyczne.

The article concerns the need of training the skills relevant to the construction of a democratic society. These include mainly critical thinking, perceptions of global issues from the point of view of "citizen of the world" and empathic sensitivity. The author proposes to train these skills in education based on humanistic values.
