Referring to Robert Musil’s distinction between simple foolishness and superior foolishness, the term used to describe the severe illness of educational system, the author enumerates basic features of that illness: 1. preference to meritocracy related civilization over person related development 2. profession oriented educational process, neglecting development of culture rooted communities 3. spot oriented, highly expert information combined with personal scarce cognitive and emotional progress 4. lack of substance to animate valuable cultural attitudes among children and youth 5. insufficient methodology to coherently support relationship between children care, teaching and education. The author argues that the up-to-date system of education, reflecting the idea of superior foolishness, is highly unethical, as it leads implicit through the entirety of its implications, towards depreciation of humanistic values, degradation of personality and consequently constitutes a serious threat for the existence of contemporary civilization.
