The aim of this article is to analyse the determinants of economic activity and work among disabled persons. The individual data from the Polish Labour Force Survey was used for the logistic regression estimates. It appeared that the determinants of disabled persons’ participation in labour force and of the likelihood of being employed are not always convergent concerning the strength and direction. It regards to such covariates as: sex, age, disability, work experience, unemployment rate and the educational stage and profile of an individual. In contrast, being married is associated with similar likelihood of economic activity and employment.

Celem artykułu jest analiza determinant podejmowania przez osoby z orzeczoną niepełnosprawnością aktywności zawodowej i pracy na podstawie danych indywidualnych pochodzących z Badania Aktywności Ekonomicznej Ludności. Wykorzystując regresję logistyczną wykazano, że czynniki warunkujące aktywność zawodową osób niepełnosprawnych i ich szanse na zatrudnienie nie zawsze są zbieżne co do siły i kierunku. Jest tak w odniesieniu do płci, wieku, stopnia niepełnosprawności, stażu pracy, sytuacji na rynku pracy oraz poziomu i profilu wykształcenia. Natomiast bycie w związku małżeńskim kształtuje w podobny sposób zarówno szanse na aktywność zawodową, jak i na podejmowanie pracy przez niepełnosprawnych.
