W pierwszej części artykułu autorka opisuje najistotniejsze zmiany, jakie nastąpiły w leksykografii polskiej po 1989 roku. Jego druga część to skrótowy przegląd najważniejszych jednojęzycznych słowników językowych ostatniego ćwierćwiecza.

The article was prepared as part of the project entitled "Twenty five years of research on Polish language: 1989-2014". In its first part the author describes the most crucial changes that took place in Polish lexicography after 1989. The second part of this article is a summary overview of the most important monolingual dictionaries published during the last quarter of the century.

The term metainformation corresponds to the term outside matter introduced by Hartmann and James (1998) and refers to the all the information in a dictionary outside dictionary entries. The paper deals with the project of such metainformation in an electronic dictionary, namely in Wielki słownik języka polskiego PAN ( PAS Great Dictionary of Polish) which is currently compiled under his supervision at the Institute of the Polish Languageat the Polish Academy of Sciences. The author distinguishes three kinds of the metainformation and presents some examples of its implementation in WSJP PAN.
