Rubrycele (directorium, ordo) i schematyzmy (elenchus) diecezji żmudzkiej przechowywane w Archiwum Diecezjalnym w Kielcach zawierają bardzo dużo ważnego materiału źródłowego co do administracji i organizacji diecezji, kleru diecezjalnego i wiernych, także są pośrednim dowodem na trudności w funkcjonowaniu Kościoła katolickiego na ziemiach zabranych i przyłączonych do Rosji w XIX, i na pocz. XX w. W ADK znajduje się 30 takich druków z lat 1853-1914. Rubrycele podają terminy świąt w kalendarzu liturgicznym, zaś schematyzmy osoby i instytucje ogólnokościelne, władze nadrzędne i instytucje diecezjalne, organizację terytorialną i personalną, dane demograficzne, zakony, bardzo cenne katalogi biskupów żmudzkich od 1415 r. Całość została wzbogacona o obszerny zarys historyczny diecezji, od jej erygowania na soborze w Konstancji, do pocz. XX w.

Directoria (directorium, ordo) and schematisms (elenchus) of the Diocese of Żmudź kept in the Diocesan Archives in Kielce contain a great deal of important source material concerning the administration and organisation of the diocese as well as diocesan clergy and believers They also constitute an indirect proof of difficulties in the functioning of the Catholic Church on the territories appropriated and incorporated to Russia in the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century. The Archives in Kielce hold 30 such prints from the years 1853-1914. Directoria provide the dates of holy days in the liturgical calendar, while schematisms list church people and institutions, church authorities and diocesan institutions, territorial and personal organisation, demographic data, monasteries, valuable catalogues of the bishops of Żmudź since 1415. The whole was enriched with an extensive historical outline of the diocese from its erection during the Council of Constance to the beginnings of the 20th century.

Celem niniejszego artykułu jest zaprezentowanie edycji statutów kapituły wileńskiej i żmudzkiej autorstwa W. Pawlikowskiej-Butterwick i Liudasa Jovaišy. Prezentacja poprzedzona jest opisem dziejów obu diecezji oraz uwagami na temat roli statutów jako źródła prawa partykularnego obu kapituł. Uwagę poświęcono autorom statutów, a także ich problematyce. Omówiono podstawę edycji oraz aparat krytyczny. Zwrócono wreszcie uwagę na uzupełniające edycję ilustracje.

The purpose of this paper is to present the edition of the statutes of the Vilnius and Samogitian chapters by W. Pawlikowska-Butterwick and Liudas Jovaiša. The presentation is preceded by a description of the history of both dioceses and comments on the role of statutes as the source of the particular law of both chapters. Attention was given to the authors of the statutes, as well as their content. The editing base and the critical apparatus are discussed. Finally, attention was drawn to supplementary illustrations.
