Possibilities of applications of national geoportal Geoportal.gov.pl in education are presented in the paper. European Union directive INSPIRE (Infrastructure for Spatial Information in Europe) is discussed as an important law frame of national reference data infrastructure in Poland. Resources of spatial data and functionalities of national geoportal are described.

W artykule zaprezentowano możliwości wykorzystania krajowego geoportalu do pozyskiwania informacji o środowisku geograficznym na potrzeby edukacji. Jako szersze tło funkcjonowania krajowego punktu dostępowego do referencyjnych danych przestrzennych przybliżono dyrektywę INSPIRE (Infrastructure for Spatial Information in Europe) i proces tworzenia Krajowej Infrastruktury Informacji Przestrzennej. Omówiono zasoby udostępniane poprzez Geoportal na szczeblu krajowym i jego funkcjonalności.
