Wdrażanie zapisów Konwencji o prawach osób niepełnosprawnych Organizacji Narodów Zjednoczonych i związana z tym aktywizacja osób z niepełnosprawnościami skutkują coraz większym zainteresowaniem problematyką niepełnoprawności w kontekście mobilności tych osób. Potrzeba bycia niezależnym implikuje poszukiwanie sposobów wsparcia osób z niepełnosprawnościami w celu jak największej ich niezależności. W artykule przedstawiono problematykę kierowców z niepełnosprawnościami oraz zaprezentowano przykłady wsparcia tej grupy uczestników ruchu, opierając się na zagranicznych i krajowych doświadczeniach.

The implementation of the requirements formulated in the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) and the related activation of people with disabilities result in a increased interest in the issue of disability and mobility. The need for independance implies the search For means that would support people with disabilities and help them maintain their autonomy. This article presents the problems of that drivers with disabilities encounter as well as describes the examples of the support they receive basing on various experiences from both Poland, and other countries.
