La Educación Católica vive en un mundo que desafía y mete en riesgo su misión, el derecho a ella misma que tienen las familias cristianas, buscar caminos de diálogo con las culturas, con los diferentes organismos y la sociedad, parecen ser los objetivos urgentes, para hacerles comprender la importancia y el derecho a una educación en los valores cristianos para la formación de la persona, haciéndola más humana y solidaria en la construcción de una sociedad más armónica, sociable y humanizadora. En América Latina, la Iglesia, expresada en la Conferencia Episcopal Latinoamerica (CELAM), en su último encuentro en el Documento Aparecida, propone un proceso educativo-formativo en la fe desde el encuentro con Jesucristo para transformar a la persona en verdaderos discípulos y misioneros de Jesús. Una educación transformante, renovadora y participativa son parte de los desafíos y retos que nos espera en el hoy y mañana de esta gran misión que lleva a cabo la Iglesia.

Wychowanie katolickie urzeczywistnia się w świecie, który stawia wyzwania i zagraża jego misji. Prawo do wychowania katolickiego, przynależne chrześcijańskim rodzinom, do poszukiwania sposobów dialogu z innymi kulturami, z różnego rodzaju instytucjami i społeczeństwem, stanowią pilne cele dla zrozumienia znaczenia i prawa do wychowania w chrześcijańskich wartościach umożliwiających ludzki i społeczny rozwój, w celu zbudowania bardziej harmonijnego, społęcznego i ludzkiego społeczeństwa. W Ameryce Łacińskiej, Kościół, Konferencja Biskupów Ameryki Łacińskiej (CELAM), w swoim ostatnim dokumencie Aparecida proponuje wychowanie jako proces ćwiczenia w wierze, które rozpoczyna się w Chrystusie i prowadzi do stania się prawdziwymi uczniami i misjonarzami Jezusa. Przekształcanie, odnowienia i ogólne wychowanie stanowią część wyzwań oczekujących dzisiaj i jutro w misji Kościoła.

Catholic education lives in a world that challenges and jeopardizes its mission. The right to this catholic education is possessed by Christian families, to seek ways of dialogue with other cultures with different kinds of institutions and societies; these are urgent goals, to make them understand the importance and the right to an education in Christian values that allow human and social development with the purpose of building a more harmonious, sociable and humanizing society. In Latin America, the Church, in the Latin American Episcopal Conference (CELAM), in its last document of Aparecida, proposes an educational – training process in faith which begins in Christ to turn a person into a true disciple and missionary of Jesus. A transforming, renewing and inclusive education are part of the challenges awaiting us today and tomorrow in this Church’s mission.
