Cybersquatting is defined as the practice of registering internet domains that include individual designations of an enterprise, for instance its trademark. This action may be considered both as an unfair business practice as well as an infringement of laws protecting the trademarks. Nowadays, as the Internet is getting more and more popular on a massive scale, cybersquatting is posing a threat that becomes bigger and bigger - not only for each and every enterprise, regardless of its size or recognition, but also for people engaged in public activities. Domain piracy can be committed by a legal person as well as a natural one. Most often the motive behind cybersquatters’ actions is the desire to gain money from reselling an attractive domain or blocking off rival entrepreneurs from market access.

Der vorliegende Beitrag stellt eine kognitive Analyse ausgewählter Auffassungen von ‚Glück‘ im Hinblick auf die in ihnen enthaltenen möglichen Konzeptualisierungen dar, mit dem Ziel, eine Domänenmatrix für das Bedeutungsspektrum um den Ausdruck ‚Glück‘ zu bestimmen. Die Analyse erfasst ausgewählte wissenschaftliche Definitionen und alltägliche Vorstellungen. Infolge der Analyse werden die Konzeptualisierungen untersucht, ihr Allgemeinheitsgrad verglichen, die Domänen ausgesondert und ihre Zentriertheit bestimmt.

The paper presents a cognitive analysis of selected understandings of luck with the focus on possible conceptualizations contained in these understandings. The aim is to establish a matrix of domains for the meaning spectrum of the lexical item ,luck’. The analysis encompasses selected scientific definitions and every-day ideas gathered from a group of people surveyed on the topic. In the course of the analysis the conceptualizations were examined, compared with respect to the level of their generality, whereupon the domains were established and assessed concerning their centrality.

Niniejszy tekst przedstawia kognitywną analizę wybranych ujęć szczęścia pod kątem zawartych w nich możliwych konceptualizacji w celu ustalenia matrycy domen dla spektrum znaczeniowego wyrażenia ,szczęście’. Analiza obejmuje wybrane definicje naukowe i wyobrażenia codzienne zebrane od grupy testowanych osób. Polega ona na zbadaniu konceptualizacji, porównaniu stopnia ich ogólności, wydzieleniu domen i stwierdzeniu ich centrowości.
