Celem artykułu jest zbadanie zróżnicowania poziomu i struktury wydatków na wyposażenie mieszkania w europejskich gospodarstwach domowych. Stosowanych obliczeń dokonano, stosując współczynnik zmienności, średnie tempo wzrostu oraz metody skupień. W latach 1995-2008 malało zróżnicowanie w wydatkach na wyposażenie prowadzenia gospodarstw domowych między krajami europejskimi. Struktura wydatków na wyposażenie mieszkania i prowadzenie gospodarstwa domowego różni się w poszczególnych krajach. W Polsce jest najbardziej zbliżona do krajów o podobnym położeniu geopolitycznym. Poznanie zachowań konsumentów w różnych krajach europejskich stanowi ważną wskazówkę dla przedsiębiorców poszerzających działalność poza rynek krajowy.

An aim of the article is to survey differentiation of the level and structure of expenditure on dwelling equipment in European households. Relevant computations were made applying the coefficient of variation, the mean growth rate the cluster methods. In 1995-2008, there was decreasing differentiation in expenditures on household equipment and management between European countries. The structure of expenditures on household equipment and management differs in individual countries. In Poland, it is the most approximate to the countries of a similar geopolitical situation. Recognition of consumers’ behaviour in different European countries is an important indication for entrepreneurs expanding their activity beyond the domestic market.
