Jednym z aktualnych problemów współczesnej ewangelizacji jest jej odniesienie do świata mediów i cyberprzestrzeni. Głos hierarchów Kościoła katolickiego miał ogromne znaczenie w kształtowaniu narzędzi mających na celu zaistnienie Kościoła w środkach społecznego przekazu. W niniejszym artykule staram się ukazać wpływ papieży – począwszy od Jana Pawła II, a skończywszy na papieżu Franciszku – na metody ewangelizacji realizowane w cyberprzestrzeni. Jest to ogromny obszar możliwości oddziaływania na chrześcijan. Jednak z perspektywy dotychczasowych osiągnięć dość słabo wykorzystywany. Kościół analizując zmieniającą się rzeczywistość i aktualne potrzeby duszpasterstwa elektronicznego coraz bardziej zaczyna być aktywnym użytkownikiem Sieci. Jest to nagląca potrzeba współczesnych metod ewangelizacji i element umożliwiający dotarcie do jak największej liczby osób wyznających religię katolicką.

One of the current problems of modern evangelization is to carry evangelization to the world of media and cyberspace. The attitude of the hierarchy of the Catholic Church was of great importance in shaping tools aimed at the emergence of the Church in the media. In this article, I try to show the influence of popes - from John Paul II to Pope Francis – on methods of evangelization carried out in cyberspace. This is a huge area of possibilities for influencing Christians. However, from the perspective of past achievements, it is quite poorly used. By analyzing the changing reality and current needs of the electronic pastoral ministry, the Church is increasingly becoming an active user of the Web. This is a pressing need for modern methods of evangelization and the means for reaching the largest number of people professing the Catholic religion.
