This text is intended to provide a justification for adopting a particular thematic profile for the IPA and IMACSSS periodical. It is a description of the state of the martial arts and combat sports community, our Societies (IMACSSS and IPA) and Journal, in 2019 within an historical and cultural context. This is the view of the headquarters of the IMACSSS and the IPA, and the Editorial Office. The editorial refers to international events in the martial arts environment and the content of volume 19. This article also contains remarks about scientific paradigms, references to the market situation for combat sports and martial arts scientific journal publishing the work of our editorial office and planned future activities.

Jest to opis sytuacji, z kontekstem historycznym i kulturowym, społeczności sztuk walki i sportów walki, naszych Stowarzyszeń (IMACSSS i SIP) i kwartalnika, Anno Domini 2019. Jest to czynione z punktu widzenia siedziby IMACSSS i Stowarzyszenia Idōkan Polska (SIP), oraz redakcji. Redakcja odnosi się do międzynarodowych wydarzeń w środowisku sztuk walki i do treści tomu 19. Artykuł zawiera również uwagi o naukowych paradygmatach, odniesienia do sytuacji na rynku czasopism naukowych publikujących na temat sportów walki i sztuk walki, efektów działania naszej redakcji i kolejnych planowanych działań.

This article considers a fundamental element of integral formation of future permanent deacons, namely intellectual formation. The rapid transformation of the conditions in which the diaconal ministry is exercised, social and cultural changes, developments within ecclesiastical and secular sciences, and the development of Christian life in the various phases of existence all demand that deacons receive a good formation. This formation constitutes an essential condition upon which depends the fruitfulness of the restored permanent diaconate. It is, therefore, a matter of significant importance. The programme of intellectual formation of candidates for the permanent diaconate is found in the national Rationes institutionis diaconorum permanentium, prepared by the Episcopal Conferences. This formation must be very solid and embrace all the disciplines which make up the ecclesiastical sciences as well as those connected to them.

Der Artikel widmet sich der Darstellung einer fundamentalen Dimension der umfassenden Bildung der künftigen Ständigen Diakone, d. h. der intellektuellen Formung. Der rasche Wandel der Bedingungen, in denen sich der diakonale Dienst vollzieht, die sozialen und kulturellen Veränderungen, die Entwicklungen in den kirchlichen und zivilen Wissenschaften, die Entwicklung des christlichen Lebens in den verschiedenen Lebensphasen erfordern eine gute Bildung der Diakone. Sie ist eine wesentliche Bedingung, von der die Fruchtbarkeit des wieder belebten Ständigen Diakonats abhängt, und daher hoch bedeutsam. Das Programm der intellektuellen Bildung der Kandidaten für den Ständigen Diakonat findet sich in den nationalen Rationes institutionis diaconorum permanentium der Bischofskonferenzen. Die erwähnte Ausbildung muss sehr solide sein und alle Disziplinen der kirchlichen Wissenschaften und der mit ihnen verbundenen Fächer umfassen.
