The main aim of the article is to show an early logopedic support of communicative developement. The article presents guidelines to be followed in a holistic neurologopedic diagnosis concerning the infants and very young children. The author emphisizes that the diagnosis should take into account stimulation of motor responses (orofacial reflexes) and pre-linguistic development.
The aim of our study was to examine the familial risk of dyslexia in Year 1 school beginners, whose parents had been diagnosed as dyslexic or exhibited symptoms of the specific difficulties in reading and writing without a formal opinion issued by a counselling centre. We found that both a dyslexia report and specific reading and writing difficulties with no formal diagnosis manifested by a family member, and parents’ reading preferences, predicted the risk of dyslexia in Year 1 children. Moreover, the children at familiar risk of dyslexia, as compared with their peers at no risk, later began to babble, were less apt at self-help and liked drawing less at the age of 2-3 years, and experienced more problems with drawing a circle at the age of 3. Additionally, during Year 1 of education, they performed poorer in fine motor skills, linguistic perception and sound deletion, visual functions and attention. Such symptoms can be observed by parents and teachers during the child’s play and educational activities. Early intervention can enhance the child’s readiness to school entry, and facilitate effective and satisfactory learning, increasing their further educational opportunities and the quality of life.
In the article, the author presents issues related to developing functional communication in both verbal and non-verbal children with autism spectrum disorders. The most important strategies that can be used when working with ASD children are discussed, such as claiming an object or an action, making a choice or asking questions. At the same time, the author underlines the importance of early intervention in small children with autism which may improve their abilities when it comes to learning, playing and communicating as well as their social skills. It may also help in the area of problematic behaviour, such as fits of anger or aggression. Teaching an ASD individual to communicate in a functional way equips them with a tool for expressing their needs and emotions. It also influences their relations with other people, allowing them to fully participate in social life.
Tomasz Kasprzak, Education of pupils with multiple disabilities in the Czech Republic, Interdisciplinary Contexts of Special Pedagogy, No. 22, Poznań 2018.Pp. 289–303. Adam Mickiewicz University Press. ISSN 2300-391X. DOI: https://doi.org/10.14746/ikps.2018.22.16 Currently, recognition of the right of all people to education is considered completely natural. Since the mid-1990s, in the Czech Republic, the issue of educating people with multiple disabilities has been increasingly addressed. The main purpose of this study is to characterise the approach to education of persons with multiple disabilities in the Czech Republic. The article contains interpretations of the concept of multiple disabilities, both in the Czech literature and in international literature, with particular emphasis on the Czech approach.
Energy needs among neurologically impaired children are difficult to define, so malnutrition or overnutrition are common. Nutritional support should be integral part of therapy reducing morbidity and improving rehabilitation effects. Considering multidisciplinary team working with neurologically impaired children we should always remember about improving oromotor dysfunction and nutritional intervention.
The subject of this article was the analysis of the impact of a significant deterioration of the bank’s financial standing on the obligation to pay the tax on certain financial institutions. The assessment that a significant deterioration of the financial situation has occurred results in the creation of obligations and rights towards the bank not only under banking law but also tax law. On the one hand, the bank is obliged to implement a rehabilitation plan. On the other hand, the bank obtains the right to be exempted from the tax on certain financial institutions. In this respect, difficulties emerge for group recovery plans. The plans may be drawn up both for bank holdings and for cooperative banking mutual solidarity systems. The research problem discussed herein boils down to the assessment of whether a significant deterioration of the situation of one of the member banks of the aforementioned corporate structures results in the initiation of the group recovery plan. Adopting such a hypothesis means that all the banks covered by the group recovery plan, regardless of their financial situation, would be exempted from the tax on certain financial institutions. The purpose of this study was to prove the claim that the exemption from the tax on certain financial institutions applies only to banks that have implemented recovery plans due to a significant deterioration of their financial situation. In view of the directive to keep the legal order consistent and coherent, banks that have not experienced a significant deterioration of their financial situation will not be entitled to take advantage of the tax exemption. Therefore, the interpretation of the provisions of the Act on the tax on certain financial institutions must cover the objective of the exemption, namely counteracting the deteriorating situation of unprofitable operators.

The article discusses some aspects of the difficult behaviours that are manifested by preschool – aged children. These behaviours may be a result of some abnormalities in development and mistakes made by adults in the educational process. The difficulties in behaviour, though often onerous for the functioning of the child itself and his parents and teachers, are not disabilities. Although these difficult behaviours are partially biologically conditioned, however to a large extent, they depend on the methods of the upbringing process. The paper contains guidelines for parents and teachers how to deal with children in order to minimize difficult behaviour and reduce the risk of their occurrence. Providing early support to a child promotes better functioning in the future, because it ensures more harmonious development, facilitates learning, and in adulthood increases the chances of a satisfying life in society.

Udzielenie wczesnego wsparcia dziecku sprzyja lepszemu funkcjonowaniu w przyszłości, bo zapewnia bardziej harmonijny rozwój, ułatwia naukę, a w dorosłości zwiększa szanse na satysfakcjonujące życie w społeczeństwie.
The article is an attempt to answer the question whether a short intervention program in the field of addiction prevention affects the motivation to change the risky behaviors of participating adolescents and what is the significance of the level of motivation to change before the start of the impact in this process. The reader has the opportunity to get acquainted with the motivation research tool, the theoretical assumptions underlying its construction, the analysis of direct and deferred results, as well as the interpretations of these results in the authors’ cussion leading to interesting conclusions. The greatest change occurs in young people with the lowest initial motivation.

Early intervention concerns a child who is threatened with disability or is disabled and the child's parents. In the situation of early intervention two key elements should be noticed, i.e. the child's early age and a comprehensive character of the actions. Special care of specialists, like the family doctor, pediatrician, neurologist, should be given to children belonging to the so called “risk groups”. Often it is on the first visit to the specialist that the further life of the child and the use of his developmental capacities depends. Including both the child and his parents in the support program in the earliest period after the developmental problems appear gives the child a chance to use his capacities as well as possible, and his parents a chance to effectively cope with the problems connected with the child's threatened development.
The aim of the article is to show the effects of actions focused on supporting the development of children with ASD carried out in the eclectic trend aimed at seeking techniques tailored to the individual person and their problems. Children (aged 5–7) underwent a two-stage diagnostic procedure (preliminary and final) with the PEP-R test (Schopler's Psychoeducational Profile). Between measurements, they participated in the annual development support program using sensory integration stimulation techniques, fine motor stimulation and dog therapy/animal-assisted therapy. The results obtained per unit testify to the effectiveness of the applied proposals, but do not allow for general conclusions to be reached. However, they can be a prerequisite for conducting a broader research project and developing individually designed early intervention programs for children with ASD.

Pomiędzy pomiarami uczestniczyły w rocznym programie wspomagania rozwoju wykorzystującym techniki stymulacji integracji sensorycznej, stymulacji motoryki małej i dogoterapii.
