The aim of this article is to analyse the literature on the education for the elderly, published in Poland in 2000–2013. Publications were divided into two groups: first – the research and diagnostic group and second – the application group. The literature of the first group clearly prevails over the literature devoted to the practical application of research results. In conclusions, the author compares the intensity of current research to the period before 2000 and formulates suggestions

Celem artykułu jest analiza literatury dotyczącej edukacji osób starszych, która ukazała się w Polsce w latach 2000–2013. Publikacje zostały podzielone na dwie grupy: badawczo-diagnostyczną i aplikacyjną. Widać wyraźną przewagę liczebną literatury z pierwszej grupy nad literaturą poświęconą praktycznemu zastosowaniu wyników prowadzonych badań. W zakończeniu autor porównuje intensywność współcześnie prowadzonych badań z okresem przed 2000 rokiem oraz formułuje postulaty dotyczące przyszłych badań.
