W artykule omówiono koncepcję kształcenia ustawicznego jako zjawiska filozoficzno-pedagogicznego. Ukazano przyczyny, które spowodowały, że obecnie coraz częściej podkreśla się, iż edukacja jest procesem ciągłym, który trwa przez całe życie każdego człowieka. Omówiono ponadto zadania i zasady kształcenia ustawicznego, a także jego twórczy charakter. Przeanalizowano również rolę edukacji ustawicznej w procesie rozwoju i samorozwoju człowieka w kontekście postępującej informatyzacji całych społeczeństw.

The article discusses the concept of lifelong education as a philosophical and pedagogical phenomenon. Implemented by historical and philosophical, ontological and synergistic analysis of the causes of the transition from ‘the finished’ to ‘lifelong’ education. We consider the objectives and principles of lifelong learning, its creative character. The role of lifelong learning as a process of development and self-development of the individual and substantiates its importance for the man in the process of transition to an information society.

Der Artikel beschreibt das Konzept der kontinuierlichen Bildung, wie philosophisch-pädagogische Phänomen. Es folgt eine historisch-philosophische, ontologische und synergetische Analyse der Ursachen des Übergangs von der "fertigen Bildung" zur "Weiterbildung". Behandelt werden Aufgaben und Grundsätze der Weiterbildung und ihrem kreativen Charakter. Es wird die Rolle der Bildung durch das ganze Leben als Prozess der Entwicklung und der Selbstentwicklung der Persönlichkeit und die Bedeutung für den Menschen in dem Prozess des Übergangs zur Informationsgesellschaft analysiert.
