Artykuł dotyczy problematyki zatrudnialności osób w wieku 18-24 i 55+. Cel prezentowanych w artykule badań dotyczył zweryfikowania zbieżności zalet przypisywanych młodym i starszym pracownikom przez pracodawców z cechami wymaganymi od osób nowo zatrudnianych w organizacji. W wypadku stwierdzenia takiej zbieżności celem dodatkowym była ocena działań podejmowanych dla zachęcenia młodych pracowników do rozwoju kompetencji i doskonalenia efektywności pracy, a starszych pracowników do przedłużonej aktywności zawodowej. Opisane badania przeprowadzone zostały wśród 98 pracujących studentów. Otrzymane wyniki wskazują na niezgodność pomiędzy przekonaniami a działaniami podejmowanymi przez pracodawców wobec młodych i starszych pracowników.

The article discusses the issue of employability of the people aged 18-24 and 55+. The aim of the presented research was to verify whether advantages assigned to junior and elderly workers are convergent with the requirements for new employees. In case of such a convergence, the additional aim was to verify whether any actions are taken to encourage junior workers to develop and perfect their effective job, and senior workers to prolong their working activity. The presented research was conducted with 98 student workers. The results indicate a discrepancy between the employers’ beliefs and actions targeted at junior and elderly workers.
