The article presents selected issues of energy cooperation between Morocco and Germany. The starting point of the considerations are data on the Moroccan energy situation as well as assumptions and objectives of Morocco’s energy policy in the 21 st century. In addition, the study presents the causes and development of bilateral energy cooperation, including in particular manifestations of Germany’s involvement in the process of creating and achieving Morocco’s energy policy goals. It discusses the essence of the energy partnership of Morocco and Germany, as well as selected examples of Moroccan projects co-financed by German institutions in the field of renewable energy development and increasing energy efficiency.

Artykuł prezentuje wybrane zagadnienia współpracy energetycznej Maroka i Niemiec. Punktem wyjścia rozważań są dane dotyczące sytuacji energetycznej Maroka oraz założenia i cele polityki energetycznej Maroka w XXI w. Ponadto opracowanie przedstawia przyczyny i rozwój bilateralnej współpracy energetycznej, w tym zwłaszcza przejawy angażowania się Niemiec w proces kreowania i realizacji celów polityki energetycznej Maroka. Omawia istotę partnerstwa energetycznego Maroka i Niemiec, jak również wybrane przykłady współfi nansowanych przez niemieckie instytucje marokańskich projektów w zakresie rozwoju energetyki odnawialnej i zwiększania efektywności energetycznej.

The article presents selected aspects of the relationship between the problem of ensuring energy security and the German foreign policy. The study describes factors affecting the provision of energy supply in the German foreign policy, such as the structure of the primary energy extraction, the degree of dependence on the import of energy resources and the level of diversification of energy supply sources. In this context the essence of energy transition as well as directions and practice of German energy cooperation, both bilaterally and multilaterally, are also discussed.

Artykuł prezentuje wybrane aspekty relacji między problemem zapewnienia bezpieczeństwa energetycznego a polityką zagraniczną Niemiec. W opracowaniu zaprezentowano czynniki wpływające na uwzględnianie kwestii zapewnienia dostaw energii w polityce zagranicznej Niemiec takie, jak struktura pozyskiwania energii pierwotnej, stopień zależności od importu surowców energetycznych i poziom dywersyfikacji kierunków dostaw energii. W tym kontekście omówiono również istotę transformacji energetycznej oraz kierunki i praktykę współpracy energetycznej Niemiec zarówno w wymiarze bilateralnym, jak i multilateralnym.
