The development of civilization and the division of labour connected with it has led to the separation of a group of people who professionally deal with the satisfaction of human needs. These people are called entrepreneurs. To put it briey, an entrepreneur is someone who runs a business and takes the risks associated with running the given business. He is a key gure of the company and the main driving force of economic progress. Each entrepreneur, being an individual and social person, establishing his own company, is guided by various premises. He is unsure whether his company will succeed or fail on the market. The article has a theoretical character, its main goal is to bring the reader closer to the knowledge on this important and extremely interesting topic, with reference to literary studies based on Polish- and English-language scientic literature. ey are literary studies based on Polish and English-language scientic literature, addressing the issues of this extremely interesting and important subject.
