The paper tackles the problem of psychological contract in organization which is defined as mutual obligations and expectations of employees and employer. The theoretical part is based on Dennis Rousseau’s concept and presents three types of psychological contract (relational, transactional and balanced) as well as process of its developing. The paper contains the results of the search conducted in Polish companies. There were used psychological scales, adapted to Polish conditions. The paper’s aim is to indicate the connection between the type of psychological contract and such organizations’ characteristics as a form of ownership, personnel practices and beliefs shared by employees. Presented research is the first step toward application of these three types of psychological contract to the reality of Polish enterprises. Obtained results show diagnostic potential of the Rousseau concept as well as the tool based on it.

Część teoretyczna opiera się na koncepcji twórczyni tego konstruktu – Dennis Rousseau, oraz przybliża rodzaje kontraktów mogących wystąpić w organizacji (relacyjny, transakcyjny, zbalansowany) i pokazuje proces jego formowania. Artykuł prezentuje wyniki badań przeprowadzonych w polskich przedsiębiorstwach przy pomocy narzędzi diagnostycznych zaadaptowanych do warunków polskich. Celem artykułu jest pokazanie związku pomiędzy rodzajem funkcjonującego w organizacji kontraktu psychologicznego a cechami tej organizacji – forma własności, praktyki personalne, przekonania podzielane przez pracowników. Zaprezentowane wyniki stanowią próbę przeniesienia tego konstruktu teoretycznego na grunt polski i pokazują możliwości diagnostyczne narzędzia powstałego na bazie koncepcji Rousseau.
