Ubezpieczenia kredytów eksportowych jako narzędzia wspierające handel międzynarodowy

The article presents the subject of risk in commercial transactions in the area of international trade. Its goal is to analyze the role, significance and place occupied by export credit insurance as a tool of supporting international trade. The author points at the significance of possibilities of using external financing in the companies’ activity, and identifies the problems encountered in this area and the ways of coping with them. The role of states and institutions in this process, with particular emphasis on export credit agencies, is also described. Taking into account the data on the premiums written, claims ratio, size of the market and volume of potential support, the author presents the changes in the credit insurance market and attempts at identifying reasons for change in the analyzed areas.

W artykule podjęto tematykę dotyczącą ryzyka w transakcjach handlowych w obszarze wymiany międzynarodowej. Jako cel podano analizę roli, znaczenia i miejsca ubezpieczeń kredytów eksportowych jako narzędzi wspierających wymianę handlową. Zwrócono uwagę na znaczenie możliwości wykorzystania finansowania zewnętrznego w działalności przedsiębiorstw, zidentyfikowano występujące w tym obszarze problemy oraz sposoby ich rozwiązywania. Wskazano rolę państw i instytucji w tym procesie, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem agencji kredytów eksportowych. Uwzględniając dane w zakresie przypisu składek, szkodowości, wielkości rynku i rozmiarów ewentualnego wsparcia, przedstawiono zmiany na rynku ubezpieczeń kredytu. Podjęto próbę identyfikacji przesłanek zmian w analizowanych obszarach.
