W tekście podjęto próbę charakterystyki grupy młodych osób, funkcjonujących poza rynkiem pracy i systemem edukacyjnym. W artykule zaprezentowano charakterystykę uwarunkowań indywidulanych, społecznych oraz ekonomicznych decydujących o niepodejmowaniu aktywności typowych dla młodych dorosłych. Zagadnienie przynależności do NEET ulokowano w perspektywie cech rozwojowych młodych dorosłych. Ważną częścią artykułu jest zaprezentowanie rozwiązań edukacyjnych minimalizujących bierność edukacyjną, zawodową i społeczną NEET.

The text attempts to describe a group of young persons, being outside the job market and the system of education. The article presents characteristics of indi- vidual, social and economic factors, determining resignation from activities typical for young adults. The issue of belonging to NEET was situated in the perspective of developmental features of young adults. An important part of the article is pre- sentation of educational solutions, minimising educational, professional and social passiveness of NEETs.
