Obecnie polskie rodziny stykają się z wieloma problemami, coraz częstszym problemem jest brak ojca. Zawsze, gy brakuje ojca, mamy do czynienia z zaburzoną strukturą rodziny, czyli jej niepełnością. Pojawia się pytanie o rolę ojca w wychowaniu dzieci oraz funkcjonowanie dziecka w rodzinie pozbawionej jego obecności. Artykuł koncentruje się wokół problematyki nieobecności ojca w rodzinie i jej wpływu na pojawiające się problemy natury wychowawczej i dydaktycznej. Badania przeprowadzono na terenie powiatu bialskiego wśród 50 rodzin tegoż rejonu. Narzędziem badawczym był kwestionariusz ankiety skierowany do matek, zawierający 10 pytań. Zaburzone relacje z jednym z rodziców albo ich całkowity brak rzutują na rozwój psychiczny dziecka, zaburzają zaspokajanie jego potrzeb, zwłaszcza poczucia bezpieczeństwa.

Currently Polish families have to tackle various problems, one of them being the absence of the father. Wherever the father is missing we are facing an impaired family structure, in this case its incompleteness. Therefore we have to determine the father’s part in the child’s upbringing and education and the child’s functioning within the framework of a „fatherless” family. This paper focuses on the issue of the absence of a father in the family and the effect of this condition on the emergence of education issues. The available data for our study were collected by a questionnaire- based survey carried out in the Bialsky- district. 50 families participated in this study. The questionnaire, addressed to mothers, comprised 10 questions. The disturbed relationship with one parent or the father’s complete absence affects the child’s emotional development and the satisfaction of its needs, foremost its need for security.
