The main goal of the study, taking into account it’s limited framework, is an attempt to present the possibilities of adapting synthetic assumptions and conceptual instruments of German ordoliberalism to contemporary finance, particularly for public finance and banking. The authors have proposed the concept of the so-called: ordofinance without treating it as “only fair” nor a panacea. Ordoliberalism deserves that, that its approach and methodology were the inspiration and became one of the important intellectual basis for the theoretical sciences dealing with various kind of finance.
