W artykule zaprezentowano wyniki badań etnograficznych prowadzonych przez J. W. Kugelmass w Europie i USA oraz Ch. McMastera w Nowej Zelandii, charakteryzujących proces kształtowania kultury szkoły włączającej uczniów ze specjalnymi potrzebami edukacyjnymi. Dowodzą one, że zmiana kultury szkoły jest procesem intencjonalnym i złożonym. Wymaga podjęcia dyskursu dotyczącego podstawowych wartości i założeń przyjętych w szkole, sposobu ich rozumienia i wdrażania. Szczególnie istotną rolę w procesie zmian przypisuje się kolegialnym formom pracy.

The article presents the results of ethnographic research conducted by J. W. Kugelmass in Europe and the US and Ch. McMaster in New Zealand, characterizing the process of shaping the culture of schools including pupils with special educational needs. They prove that changing school culture is an intentional and complex process. It requires a discourse on the fundamental values and assumptions accepted in school, as well as their interpretation and implementation. A particularly important role in this process of change is attributed to collective forms of work.
