The article describes some of the reasons why today in Italy, pedagogy and the Montessori method arise interest both in the academic context as well as among families. In the last century, at the beginning of the nineties, in the academic context, there was a more objective research of historiography on the human and intellectual experience of the Italian pedagogue that brought to the overcoming of the reconstruction through anecdotes. Nowadays families choose the Montessori method because they are looking for a school in which the specificity of each child is respected: the child is considered in the entirety of his person and not only as a pupil. Parents are searching for a school where interest is stirred up and knowledge is the result of a free personal discovery rather than the repetition of a learning already prepared. A democratic school that is neither authoritative nor competitive. The renewed interest for the Montessori method is also supported by the fact that some of its fundamental principles are confirmed by contemporary psychology. For instance, from present researches it emerges that more freedom and more choice, carried out in a prepared educational environment, contribute to better results in learning. Also neurosciences point out that there is a complete harmony between the way the brain represents numbers and the materials proposed by Montessori for the learning of maths.
The article deals with theoretical and methodical aspects of the influence of free education on the development of creative abilities of children of the 6th year of life. The pedagogical conditions for the development of artistic creativity in children of the 6th year of life are determined and substantiated. The complex of classes for children of the 6th year of life is represented on the basis of a free choice of visual tasks, and the effectiveness of their influence on the development of artistic creativity of children has been experimentally tested. Classes are based on the age and individual characteristics of children based on the integration of different types of visual activities, different techniques and methods of image.
Artykuł przedstawia czternastowieczną dyskusję teologiczną dotyczącą problemu Bożej i ludzkiej wolnej woli. Jego głównymi bohaterami są Wilhelm Ockham i Tomasz Bradwardine. W swym opus magnum zatytułowanym O sprawie Boga przeciw Pelagianom... Bradwardine przywołuje dyskusję między św. Augustynem a Pelagiuszem dotyczącą wolnej woli, wolnego wyboru i predestynacji. Siebie uważa za augustynika, natomiast Ockhama oskarża o poglądy semipelagiańskie. W artykule przedstawiam opinie obydwu angielskich teologów, umieszczając je w kontekście Bradwardine’a krytyki semipelagianizmu.

The paper deals with the fourteenth century theological discussion on the God’s and human free will. The dramatis personae are William of Ockham and Thomas Bradwardine. In his opus magnum entitled De causa Dei contra Pelagianum... Bradwardine recalls a quarrel between St. Augustine and Pelagius concerning free will, free choice and predestination. Considering yourself as the true Augustinian, Bradwardine accuses Ockham of being the Pelagian. The paper presents opinions of both English theologians against the background of Bradwardine critics of semi-pelagianism.

eTh paper presents the thesis that a decision understood as an act of choice could be explained within the framework of the theory of control, which implicates real human autonomy. A decision in this perspective is not a type of phenomenon detached from the causal structure of the world, nor a kind of handy theoretical structure in explaining behaviour, but a functional aspect of the mind compatible with the naturalistic view of the world, including the humanities. Within such an explanatory structure, we can place decisions as part of the control structures that function alongside causality structures and are a necessary component of any autonomous system. Moreover, if the mind acts as a semantic engine, we can outline the direction of research within which semantics (language, cultural meanings, and content) can be interpreted as the basis for choices (decisions) made within the cultural context.

A starting point of this paper is a consideration and confrontation of the various meanings of the term “will” formulated and discussed in twelfth century anthropology. A significant part of this historical research is devoted to such issues as the characteristics and specific activity of the human will, its relation to the whole domain of the desire, particularly that of the sensual desire, and especially the mutual—functional and hierarchical—relationship between will and reason as the cognitive faculty. On the ground of the critical and comparative analysis of the text-sources (including the works of Anselm of Canterbury, Bernard of Clairvaux, Hugh of Saint-Victor, as well as the collections of sentences of known and unknown authors), author of the paper explores the views of just mentionnned and other thinkers of this time on the belonging of the will to the domain of human rationality, on the participation of the intellect in the will’s decisions and choices, one the one hand, and on will’s autonomy and its possibility of self-moving, on the other. He focuses his scrutiny on how the twelfth century thinkers try to explicate a phenomenon of free choice or free decision and to answer to a questions concerning a proper subject, source, efficient cause or necessary and sufficient condition of the human freedom in the context of the medieval disputes between voluntarism and intellectualism in the domain of anthropology.
