Człowiek ze swej natury jest istotą dialogiczną i społeczną, która do harmonijnego rozwoju potrzebuje kontaktów z innymi ludźmi. Wraz z nadejściem społeczeństwa informacyjnego można zauważyć transformacje sposobu komunikowania się ludzi. Artykuł jest próbą ukazania wpływu technologii informacyjnych na sposób porozumiewania się ludzi należących do pokolenia X Y i Z, który niesie ze sobą zarówno pozytywne, jak i negatywne konsekwencje dla relacji społecznych – stąd proponowany w tytule artykułu bilans zysków i strat.

Man by its nature is essentially dialogic and social being, which need contact with other people for its harmonious development. With the advent of the information society it can be seen the transformation of the way people communicate. The article is an attempt to show the impact of information technology on the way of communication between people belonging to the generation X, Y & Z, which carries with it both positive and negative consequences for their social relationships – hence the profit and loss balance proposed in the title of the article.

The study describes the volunteering work undertaken during the global health, social and economic crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic. The situation affects almost the entire world; therefore, it requires fast, community and prudent actions. The provided support carries health risks for both those in need and those who help. Aid activities are undertaken by all generations, which makes it possible to search for the essential features of a volunteer of the X, Y, Z generation. In times of a pandemic, we observe a different specificity of volunteering. The material was prepared on the basis of the analysis of the literature on the subject, the interpretation of the available analyses and reports.

Opracowanie jest charakterystyką podejmowanego wolontariatu w czasie światowego kryzysu zdrowotnego, społecznego, gospodarczego wywołanego pandemią koronawirusa. Sytuacja dotyczy niemalże całego świata, wymusza zatem działania szybkie, wspólnotowe oraz rozważne. Udzielane wsparcie jest obarczone ryzykiem zdrowotnym zarówno dla osób potrzebujących, jak i pomagających. Działania pomocowe są podejmowane przez wszystkie generacje, co daje możliwości poszukiwania cech istotnych wolontariusza pokolenia X, Y, Z. W czasach pandemii obserwujemy inną specyfikę wolontariatu. Materiał został przygotowany na podstawie przeglądu literatury przedmiotu, interpretacji dostępnych analiz oraz raportów.
