Artykuł przedstawia bieg ludzkiego życia. Rysuje w perspektywie historycznej społeczne role dzieciństwa, młodości, wieku dojrzałego i starości. Przedstawia tez relacje między pokoleniami. Raz czyni to w konwencji konfliktu pokoleń, konfliktu interesów. Raz w konwencji koniecznej symbiozy. W konkluzji artykuł ukazuje znaczenie wychowania dla właściwego rozwoju osobniczego oraz budowania właściwych relacji międzypokoleniowych.

The article presents the course of human’s life. Describes – from a historical perspective – social roles of childhood, youth, adulthood and old age. Presents relations between generations too. On the one hand it’s being done as a generations conflict, conflict of interest. On the other hand it’s being done from a perspective of necessary coexisting. As a conclusion article shows the important role of education for appropriate progress of individuals and for good inter-generational relations.
